10-Day Luxury Egypt Tours – Best of Egypt

DAY 1 – Cairo Arrival with VIP Transfer to Hotel

When you land in Cairo for your private luxury tour of Egypt, your tour manager will be at the airport to meet and greet you. He or she will assist you in every possible way, and then you will be driven to your hotel in one of our luxury air-conditioned vehicles.

Your tour manager will ensure a smooth check-in at the hotel and then review your Luxury Egypt Tours itinerary with you. After this, you will be free to enjoy the rest of your first day in Egypt as you wish.

DAY 2 – Private Pyramids Tour – Giza & Saqqara

Begin your day with breakfast at your hotel. At the confirmed time, your expert guide and person driver will fetch you and drive you to the ancient Giza necropolis, home to the famous Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx. You will also visit the Valley Temple located at the same site. This tour will take up most of the morning.

Once you are finished at the site, you will have a lunch break at a good local restaurant. Lunch today is included in the price of our luxury Egypt tours. After lunch, you will then be driven to Saqqara to visit another ancient royal necropolis.

This necropolis is considerably older than the one at Giza, and is home to the Great Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djozer. This is believed to be the first pyramid ever built by the ancient Egyptians.

Following your tour at Saqqara, you will then be driven back to your hotel in Cairo where you will be free to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

DAY 3 – Guided Tour in Cairo

Shortly after breakfast, your guide and driver will arrive at your hotel and then you will head out for another day of sightseeing. Your first stop for the day will be at the famous Egyptian Museum. From there you will make your way to the centuries-old Salah al-Din Citadel where you will visit the spectacular Mohammed Ali Alabaster Mosque.

Today, lunch, which is included in your tour, will once again be at a good local restaurant. After lunch, you will head to the Islamic Quarter where you will some time to explore and/or shop at the famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar.

When you are finished at the bazaar you will then head to Coptic Cairo where you will visit the Hanging Church of Cairo, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, and the Church of St. Barbara. You will also visit the Church of Abu Serga, and then you will be driven back to your hotel

DAY 4 – Transfer to Luxor by Air

Shortly after breakfast, you will check-out from your hotel in Cairo. Your tour manager and your private driver with then take you to the airport to board a flight to Luxor. When you land in Luxor, another one of our tour managers will meet you and then escort you to the hotel where you will be staying for this night of your private luxury tour of Egypt. There are no tours scheduled for today so feel free to relax at your hotel or to head out on your own to explore Luxor.

DAY 5 – Cruise Embarkation and Luxor East Bank Tour

Today you will check-out from your hotel in Luxor and one of our tour representatives will escort you to the place where you will board your Nile River cruise from Luxor to Aswan. Shortly after you have boarded and checked in, lunch will be served. You will then have some free time for your before being taken for a visit to the East Bank.

Today, your expert guide will be taking you and a small group of our other clients to see Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. Karnak Temple is a vast site and the second-most visited ancient attraction in Egypt. After your tour you will head back to your cruise ship where you will have some more time for yourself before dinner is served. This night of our Luxury Egypt Tours package is spent aboard the ship at Luxor.

DAY 6 – West Bank Tour and Sail to Edfu

After breakfast, your guide takes you for a visit to the West Bank to see 3 famous ancient sites. Your first stop will be at the Valley of Kings. This was a royal necropolis during the New Kingdom era. It is home to more than 60 tombs, including Tutankhamen’s tomb which was discovered still sealed and intact.

Your next stop will be at one of the grandest temples ever built by the ancient Egyptians, the terraced mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After visiting the temple, you will visit the nearby Colossi of Memnon and then head back to the cruise ship in time for lunch.

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon on the ship while it is sailing to Edfu. Enjoy afternoon tea and dinner on the ship, and spend this night on the ship at Edfu.

DAY 7 – Horus Temple and Kom Ombo Temples

Enjoy breakfast and a morning of relaxation aboard the cruise ship. After lunch, your guide will take you to see the breathtaking Temple of Horus at Edfu. Once everyone is back on board the ship, it will then sail to Kom Ombo where you will enjoy another excursion, this time to see the Kom Ombo twin-temple complex. One side of the complex was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, while the opposite side was dedicated to the god Haeroris.

Once all passengers are back on board the ship, it will then depart for Aswan. Dinner will be served on the ship in the evening and you will spend this night of your cruise on the ship at Aswan.

DAY 8 – Aswan Sightseeing Tour

Breakfast is served aboard the ship at the usual time and then you will be taken to see 3 different Aswan tourist attractions. Today’s tour will begin with a visit to the Aswan High Dam. Enjoy spectacular views of the Nile River on one side and Lake Nasser on the other side.

From the dam, you will then visit the ancient stone quarries to see the massive Unfinished Obelisk. After this, you will make your way to the ancient Temple of Philae. This ancient temple was dedicated to two goddesses: Isis and Hathor.

There are no more tours today, so once you get back to the cruise ship you will have the rest of the day to yourself. Enjoy the last night of your cruise aboard the ship at Aswan.

DAY 9 –Free Time in Aswan or Optional Trip to Abu Simbel Temples

Breakfast served at the usual time, and then you will check-out from your cruise and disembark. One of our tour managers will then escort you to a hotel in Aswan where you will be staying for the last night of your private luxury tour of Egypt.

While there are no scheduled tours on this day of our 10-day Luxury Egypt Tours package, you will have the option of visiting the breathtaking Abu Simbel Temples. These two magnificent temples were constructed during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II.  If you opt in for this tour, you will be driven there in a private air-conditioned vehicle, a journey which takes about three and a half hours in each direction.

The trip to the Abu Simbel Temples is optional and is therefore not included in the original listed price of our 10-day Luxury Egypt Tours itinerary.

Flight to Cairo and Final Departure

Today you check-out from your hotel in Aswan and then one of our managers and a driver will fetch you from your hotel and take you to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. When you land in Cairo, your tour manager will meet you and he or she will then escort you to the International Departures Hall for your flight out of Egypt.
