Visiting this museum is an optional extra. If want to have a look around inside, you can purchase a ticket at the site.
When your tour of the pyramids at Giza is finished, you will be taken to a good local restaurant for some lunch. Once you have finished enjoying your lunch, you will then be transferred to Saqqara, another ancient burial ground. The main attraction at this necropolis is the great Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djozer.
This is believed to be the very first pyramid ever built by the Ancient Egyptians. Following your visit to Saqqara, you will then be transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
Meals Include – Breakfast, Lunch
DAY 3 – Visiting the Egyptian Museum and GEM
After enjoying a delicious breakfast, your day will begin with a visit to The New Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), also known as the Giza Museum, located just 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza pyramid complex. As part of an Egypt and Jordan private tour, you will have exclusive access to this state-of-the-art museum, currently offering limited entry to its Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial areas, and beautiful exterior gardens, as it prepares for its official opening.
Following your museum visit, you’ll enjoy lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant, savoring local flavors. Afterward, continue your exploration with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, located in the heart of historic Downtown Cairo, right by the renowned Tahrir Square. Here, you can marvel at an extraordinary collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun.
Conclude your day with a return to your hotel, where you can unwind and relax after an exciting day of sightseeing in Cairo.
Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch
DAY 4 – Transfer to Aswan and Aswan Tour
Today you will need to have your breakfast a bit earlier than usual. After your breakfast it will be time for you to checkout so that we can get you to the airport in time for your flight to Aswan. When you get to Aswan, another one of our expert guides and a driver will meet you. You will then be taken for a sightseeing tour in Aswan.
During this tour, you will visit the Aswan High Dam and then you will move on to see the ancient Temple of Philae. This temple was dedicated to two different goddesses. It was almost lost forever when the High Dam was being built. Had it not been moved to higher ground, it would have disappeared beneath the water of Lake Nasser.
After your visit to the temple, you will be taken to see the famous Unfinished Obelisk. This is the last stop of your tour, so from here you will be transferred to your hotel in Aswan.
Meals Included – Breakfast
DAY 5 – Abu Simbel Group Tour and Nile Cruise Embarkation
Today will surely be one of the highlights of your Egypt and Jordan Private Tour, but it calls for a really early start. You will need to check-out from your hotel at about 03h00. At around 03h30, you will be picked up from your hotel for your trip to Abu Simbel. Rather than having breakfast at your hotel, you will be given a boxed breakfast to take with you.
The trip to the Abu Simbel Temples takes approximately 4.5 hours. It’s a long journey but it really is worth it. The gigantic rock-cut temples are the second-most visited attraction in Egypt. Built to serve as lasting monuments of Pharaoh Ramses II and his wife, they are truly beyond words.
Once your tour of these two temples is over, you will be driven back to Aswan where you will board your 5-Star Nile River cruise. Lunch will be served aboard the ship shortly after boarding, and then you will have the rest of the day to yourself.
Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
DAY 6 – Kom Ombo and Edfu Tours
Today you will be sailing from Aswan to Esna with two stops and onshore excursions along the way. Soon after your cruise ship departs from Aswan, breakfast will be served. After breakfast, you will have some free time for yourself until you arrive at Kom Ombo. At Kom Ombo, our on-board expert guide will accompany you on visit to Kom Ombo Temple. Like all tours during your cruise, this will be a small group tour.
Kom Ombo temple is unique in that it was dedicated to two different gods. At the designated time, your cruise ship will depart from Kom Ombo and it will sail to Edfu. Lunch will be served shortly after you depart. When you reach Edfu, you will be taken for another tour, this time to see the Temple of Horus. This is the most well-preserved ancient cult temple ever discovered in Egypt.
Once your cruise ship leaves Edfu, you will have the rest of the day to yourself and you will overnight on the ship while it is docked in Esna.
Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
DAY 7 – Luxor West Bank Tour
Today you will sail to Luxor and you will be taken for a tour on the West Bank. During this tour, you will visit Valley of the Kings; Queen Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. Visiting these three sites is likely to be one of the biggest highlights of your Egypt and Jordan Private Tour.
Valley of the Kings is famous for the many ancient tombs that were discovered there over the years. The area was a royal burial ground, so the tombs here all belonged to pharaohs, nobles, and people with great influence
King Tutankhamen’s tomb may be the most famous one, but it is definitely not the most ornate. Our 2 weeks in Egypt and Jordan package includes admission to some, but not all of the tombs. Some of the tombs have been designated as “special tombs”. To enter these “special” tombs, visitors have to purchase the necessary ticket at the site.
After your West Bank tour, you will return to the cruise ship and then you will have the rest of the day to yourself.
Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
DAY 8 – Cruise Disembarkation, East Bank Tour and Transfer to Sharm
Your Nile Cruise ends today, so after breakfast you will check-out and then disembark. After disembarkation, you will be taken for a tour on the East Bank. During this tour you will visit Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple complex. When your tour is over, you will be transferred to the airport and you will board a flight to Sharm El Sheikh.
Nearly all flights from Luxor to Sharm are indirect flights that fly via Cairo. Another one of our tour representatives will meet you at the airport in Sharm and then transfer you to your hotel.
Meals Included – Breakfast
DAY 9 – Snorkeling Tour at Ras Mohammed National Park
After breakfast, your tour guide and driver will fetch you and then take you to the beautiful Ras Mohammed National Park for some snorkeling. In the afternoon, your guide and driver will transfer you back to your hotel and you will have the rest of the day to yourself.
Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch
DAY 10 – Optional Monastery Tour or Free Time in Sharm
There are no scheduled tours on this day of your Egypt and Jordan Private Tour package. However, you can enjoy an optional tour to see the Monastery of St. Catherine. This monastery is a huge complex owned and run by the Greek Orthodox Church. It is most famous for its vast collection of illuminated religious manuscripts. Only the Vatican has a bigger selection.
Besides the manuscripts, there are also a lot of fascinating artifacts to see. The views from the balcony are also breathtaking. Since this is an optional tour, it is not included in the price of our Egypt and Jordan Private Tour packages.

DAY 11 – Transfer to Amman, Jordan
Today you will be checking out from your hotel in Sharm and our tour representative and driver will transfer you to the airport for your flight into Jordan. DAY 12 – Madaba and Dead Sea Visit
After breakfast, your English-speaking driver will fetch you from your hotel. Your outing today begins with a visit to Mount Nebo. It was on this mount that Moses was first shown the Promised Land. You will also visit an old local monastery while you are in the area. After you are finished at the monastery, your driver will head to Madaba to visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.
The main reason for visiting this church is so that you can see its famous 6th-century mosaic map of Palestine. Once you are finished at the church, you will then be driven to the Dead Sea for an afternoon of leisure and relaxation.
If you have ever seen pictures of people floating on the Dead Sea, now is your chance to experience it for yourself. Dead Sea mud is also used to many high end beauty treatments and beauty products. Feel free to enjoy a mud bath while you’re here, or treat yourself to a unique spa treatment. In the late afternoon, or whenever you are ready, our driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Amman.
DAY 13 – Lost City of Petra Tour
Today your driver will fetch you from your hotel and then drive you to Petra to visit the Rose City of Petra. No trip to Jordan is complete without visiting this breathtaking site which is also known as the Lost City of Petra. The Nabatean Arabs carved the entire city out of the walls of a long and deep rock canyon around the 6th-century BC.
There really are no words to describe this site. Not surprisingly, it is Jordan’s number one tourist attraction. Your tour of the site involves quite a lot of walking so comfortable footwear is recommended. When you reach the site, your driver will park at the visitor center, where a specialist guide will meet you.
You will make your way from the visitor center to the Siq (canyon entrance) on horseback and then your tour will begin. Tours typically last between two to three hours. This is not enough time to explore every aspect of the city so your guide will focus on showing you only the best features. Once your tour is over you will make your way back to the visitor center and then our driver will drive you back to your hotel.
Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch
