DAY 1 – Egypt and Jordan Trip Begins / Arrival at Cairo International Airport
Welcome to Egypt, Land of the Pharaohs. One of our tour representatives will meet you at the airport when you arrive in Cairo for your Egypt and Jordan Trip. After you pass through immigration, he or she will then escort you to your hotel in one of our deluxe air-conditioned vehicle. Once you have been checked-in, our tour representative will discuss your Egypt and Jordan itinerary with you. A meeting time for the next day’s tour will also be confirmed with you. There are no tours today so you will have the rest of the day for yourself.

DAY 2 – Great Pyramids, and The New Grand Egyptian Museum
After a delicious and fulfilling breakfast at your hotel, your expert guide will meet you to begin your Egypt and Jordan Trip. Your first stop will be the Giza Plateau, where you’ll marvel at one of the Seven Wonders of the World—the Great Pyramids of Giza. While here, you’ll also visit the magnificent Sphinx and the Valley Temple, two of Egypt’s most iconic ancient landmarks.
After exploring the pyramids, you’ll enjoy a traditional Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor the rich flavors of the region. Next, you’ll make your way to the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the Giza Museum, situated just 2 km from the pyramids. Although the museum is still in its preparatory phase ahead of its grand opening, you’ll be able to explore key areas, including the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial spaces, and the beautiful outdoor gardens.
In the evening, you’ll return to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay in Cairo, ready to continue your Egypt and Jordan adventure.

DAY 3 – Nile Cruise Embarkation and Luxor East Bank Tour
Today you will check-out from your hotel and then you will be transferred to the airport to board a flight to Luxor. One of our tour representatives will meet you when you arrive and then you will be taken to board you 5 star Nile cruise. Enjoy lunch on the ship and then you will visit the East Bank to see Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple complex.
All tours/excursions during your cruise are small group tours that you share with some of our other clients. One of our expert guides will also accompany you during your excursions. After your visit to the East Bank, you will return to the cruise ship and you will have the rest of the day to yourself. Your cruise will remain in Luxor for the night.

DAY 4 – Luxor West Bank and Overnight at Edfu
In the morning our guide will take you and your group for a tour on the West Back. Your tour will begin at Valley of the Kings. This is where pharaohs and other royalty were buried during the New Kingdom years. More than 60 rock-cut tombs have been found here. King Tutankhamen was also buried here. His mummy is actually on display inside his recently refurbished tomb. Our Egypt and Jordan Trip does not include an admission ticket for Tutankhamen’s tomb.
After you are finished at the necropolis, you will then visit the mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This breathtaking rock-cut temple is one of the most visited ancient monuments in the country. From the temple, you will be taken to see the Colossi of Memnon and then you will head back to your cruise ship.
The ship will remain in Luxor until after lunch and then it will sail to Edfu where it will dock overnight. There are no further tours/excursions scheduled for this day of your Egypt and Jordan Trip.

DAY 5 – Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple and Overnight in Aswan
After breakfast our guide will take you and your group to see Edfu Temple which is also known as the Temple of Horus. Horus Temple was eventually buried under the sand after it was deserted. It remained buried for more than 2,000 years. During this time it was protected from the elements and today it is Egypt’s best-preserved temple.
After your tour, your cruise ship will sail to Kom Ombo. When you get there, your guide will take you to see another ancient temple complex. Kom Ombo Temple was dedicated to two gods: Sobek and Horus. Once all passengers are back on board the ship it will then start sailing to Aswan. There are no other excursions scheduled for this day of our Egypt and Jordan itinerary.

DAY 6 – High Dam, Philae Temple and the Unfinished Obelisk
Today you will be taken to visit three popular tourist attractions in Aswan. First you visit the Aswan High Dam which gave birth to present-day Lake Nasser. After visiting the High Dam you will then be taken to see the massive Unfinished Obelisk. This is located in the northern part on ancient Egypt’s stone quarries. It would have been the world’s largest obelisk but the project was abandoned.
When you are finished at the Unfinished Obelisk, you will be taken to see the ancient Temple of Philae. This entire temple was moved from its original location to its current location when the Aswan High Dam was being built. After your visit to the temple you will make your way back to the cruise ship and you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 7 – Transfer to Cairo
After breakfast you will check-out and then disembark from your Nile cruise ship. Our tour representative and one of our drivers will then transfer you to the airport where you will board a flight back to Cairo. Your tour manager and driver will meet you when you arrive in Cairo and then transfer you to your hotel. There are tours scheduled for this day of your Egypt and Jordan itinerary. Once you have checked-in at the hotel you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 8 – Fly to Amman, Jordan
At the confirmed time, you will need to check-out from your hotel. Your tour manager and driver then transfer you to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Jordan. When you land at Queen Alia Airport in Amman, our Jordanian tour representative will meet you and then transfer you to your hotel in Amman. There are no tours on this day of your Egypt and Jordan Trip.

DAY 9 – Jerash, Ajloun Castle and Umm Qais
After breakfast your driver and an English-speaking assistant will meet you at your hotel and then you will drive to Gadara (Umm Qais). Here you will see the remains of an ancient city which was a part of a decapolis, a group of 10 cities founded by Alexander the Great. The area also provides wonderful views of the north Jordan Valley, the Sea of Galilee, and the Golan Heights.
When you are finished at Umm Qais, your driver will then drive to Jerash, the ruins of an ancient Roman provincial city. This site is considered to be best surviving example of ancient Roman architecture outside of Italy. There is a lot to see here so you will meet up with a specialist local guide who will take you for a tour of the site.
After your tour at Jerash, you will be taken to see Ajloun Castle which dates back to the 12th-century. The castle was built by Salah al-Din in around 1184/85. Explore the castle at leisure and then your driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 10 – Mt. Nebo, Madaba and Dead Sea Tour
Today you will be picked up at the usual time and you will be driven to Mount Nebo where you will visit an old monastery. According to the Bible, Moses was on Mount Nebo when God first showed him the Promised Land. Many people also believe that he died and was buried somewhere on the Mt. Nebo.
After Mt. Nebo, you will drive to Madaba where you will visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. This beautiful old church houses a famous 6th-century stone mosaic map of Palestine. From Madaba, you will make your way to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth.
Remember to take suitable clothing with you so that you can experience what it is like to float on the Dead Sea. Later in the day, or whenever you are ready to leave, your driver and his assistant will transfer you back to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 11 – Guided Tour at the Lost City of Petra
Today’s tour involves quite a lot of walking. We highly recommend that you wear comfortable footwear that is suitable for walking. Your driver will fetch you after breakfast and then drive you to Petra to see the ancient Rose Red City of Petra. When you reach the site, your driver will park at the visitor center where you will meet up with a local English-speaking guided.
The Lost City of Petra is an ancient city that was created during the 6th century BC by a tribe of nomadic Nabatean Arabs. They carved their entire city out of the walls of a long and deep rock canyon. You can’t explore every aspect of this site in just one day so your guide will focus on showing the most breathtaking parts.
Your tour of the site will last between two to three hours. There is a 700-meter walk from the visitor center to the Siq (canyon entrance) and the canyon itself is another 1,200 meters. After your tour you will have some lunch and then your driver will transfer you back to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 12 – Egypt and Jordan Itinerary Ends / Final Departure
This is the last day of your Egypt and Jordan itinerary so today you will check-out from your hotel in Amman. At the confirmed time, our tour representative will meet you at the hotel, and then you will be transferred to Queen Alia Airport for your flight out of Jordan.
