Itinerary

DAY 1 – Egypt, Jordan, Israel Tours Package Starts / Arrival in Cairo

Our 15-day Egypt, Jordan and Israel private tour begin in Cairo. When you land at the airport, your tour manager and one of our drivers will be waiting for you. Once you clear immigration, they will then transfer you to your hotel.

Your tour manager will get you checked-in. He or she will also review your itinerary with you and confirm a pick-up for the following day’s tour. You will then have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 2 – Cairo Tour: Pyramids, Museum and Khan el Khalili

After breakfast, your guide and driver will fetch you and then you will be taken to see the Great Pyramids of Giza. You will also visit the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. Our Egypt, Jordan, Israel Tours includes an admission ticket for this site. However, if you want to explore inside one of the pyramids and/or visit the Solar Boat Museum, a separate ticket can be purchased at the site.

After you are finished at the pyramids, you will be taken for lunch at a nice local restaurant, and then you will visit the Egyptian Museum. There are over 100,000 ancient artifacts on display in the museum, representing more than 5,000 years of Egyptian history. You can also view all the artifacts that were found inside the tomb of King Tutankhamen. These are on display in the museum’s Treasures Room.

There is also a Mummies Room with real mummies on display. Not everyone wants so see the mummies, so a ticket for the Mummies Room is not included in our Egypt, Jordan, Israel Tours package. Tickets can however be purchased on-site.

Once you are finished at the museum, you will then head to the city’s famous Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. Located in the old Islamic Quarter, the bazaar has been around since the late 14th century. When you are finish at the bazaar, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

DAY 3 – Transfer to Luxor Nile cruise Embarkation and East Bank Tour

After breakfast, you will check-out from your hotel and your tour manager and driver will transfer you to the airport to board a flight to Luxor. You will be met at the airport when you land, and you will be taken to board your Nile Cruise. After having lunch on the ship, you and a small group of our other passengers will visit two ancient monuments on the East Bank: Luxor Temple and the Karnak Temple complex.

One of our expert guides will also accompany you on this tour and on all other tours during your cruise. Once you get back to the cruise ship, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 4 – Luxor West Bank Tour and Overnight at Edfu

After breakfast, your small group will assemble and then your guide will take you to see three more ancient monuments. Your tour today begins with a visit to Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal burial ground. Several, but not all of the tombs are open to visitors. Some also require special tickets which need to be purchased at the site.

Our Egypt, Jordan, Israel Tour package does not include tickets for these “special” tombs, such as the tomb of King Tutankhamen. After you tour, you will then be taken to see the magnificent rock-cut temple of Queen Hatshepsut. From here you will visit the Colossi of Memnon and then then return to the cruise ship.

Once all passengers are back on the ship, it will depart for Edfu where it will dock for the night. There are no further tours today, so once you are back on board the ship, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 5 – Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple and Overnight at Aswan

After breakfast you will visit Edfu Temple, also known as the Temple of Horus. This is Egypt’s best-preserved ancient cult temple. When you are finished at the site, you will return to the ship and then it will depart for Kom Ombo. Enjoy your lunch out on the river while sailing to Kom Ombo.

When you get to Kom Ombo, you will visit another ancient temple complex. Kom Ombo temple was built in a very unique style/design because it was dedicated to two different gods. One side was dedicated to Horus while the other side was dedicated to Sobek.

When you are finished at the temple, your cruise ship will depart for Aswan. There are no other tours or excursions scheduled for this day of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel Tours package.

DAY 6 – Aswan Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, you will visit three more historical sites. Your tour will begin with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, and from there you will be taken to see the gigantic Unfinished Obelisk. From here, you will be taken to see the ancient temple of Philae. This temple was dedicated to two different goddesses: Hathor and Isis.

When you and the other member of your group are finished at the temple, you will return to the cruise ship and you will then have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 7 – Nile Cruise Ends and Return to Cairo / Optional tour to Abu Simbel Temples

Today you will check-out and disembark from the cruise ship. You will then be taken to the airport to board a flight back to Cairo. Alternatively, you can choose to go on a tour to see the Abu Simbel Temples before returning to Cairo. This is an optional tour and is not included in the price of our Egypt, Jordan, Israel Tour itinerary.

When you get back to Cairo you will again be met at the airport and then driven to your hotel for your last night in Egypt.

DAY 8 – Fly to Amman in Jordan

At the confirmed time, your tour manager and a driver will collect you from your hotel. You will then be driven to the airport in time for your flight to Amman. One of our Jordanian tour representatives will meet you at the airport when you arrive, and then transfer to your hotel. There are no tours scheduled for today.

DAY 9 – Umm Qais, Jerash and Ajloun Castle Tour

After breakfast, your driver and an English speaking assistant will meet you at your hotel and you will drive to Umm Qais (Gadara). This was once part of a decapolis, a union of 10 cities founded by Alexander the Great. When you have finished at this site, you will then drive to Jerash to see the ruins of an ancient Roman city.

\When you arrive at Jerash, you will meet up with a local English speaking guide who will give you a proper tour of the site. After Jerash, you will visit Ajloun Castle. This is a huge fortress that dates back to 1184/1185. After you have finished exploring the castle, you driver will then return you to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 10 – Holy Baptism Site, Madaba and Mt. Nebo

Today your tour will begin with a visit to Bethany. This is the site where Jesus is believed to have been baptized by John the Baptist. From here, you will drive to Madaba to see a stone mosaic map of the Promised Land. The mosaic dates back to the 6th century BC and is located inside the beautiful Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.

When you are finished at the church, you will head to Mount Nebo where you will visit an old monastery. It is believed that Moses was on this mount when God showed him the Promised Land. After spending some time on the mount, your driver will then return you to your hotel.

DAY 11 – Rose Red City of Petra Tour

After breakfast today, you will drive to Petra to see the Rose City of Petra, also known as the Lost City of Petra. During the 6th century BC, a tribe of nomadic Nabatean Arabs settled in the area and then carved their city out of the walls of a long and deep rock gorge/canyon. It is by far and away Jordan’s most famous and most breathtaking tourist attraction.

When you reach the site you will meet up with a specialist guide for your Lost City tour. During your tour, your guide will ensure that you get to see the very best features of this ancient city. These will include the Street of Facades, the Royal Tombs, the Pharaohs Castle and the Treasury. Your tour will take between two to three hours.

This tour involves quite a lot of walking. There is a 700-meter walk from the visitor center to the Siq (canyon entrance). The canyon itself is a further 1,200 meters long. After your tour, your driver will then drive you back to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 12 – Transfer to the Holy City by Road

After breakfast you will check-out from your hotel and then you will drive to the Allenby/King Hussein Bridge border crossing. Your new guide and driver will meet you at the border and then take you to your hotel in Jerusalem. There are no tours scheduled for this day of your Egypt, Jordan, Israel Tours package.

DAY 13 – Jerusalem and Bethlehem Tour

Today’s tour begins with a visit to the Mount of Olives to enjoy some excellent view. From here, you will walk to the Wailing Wall. If Temple Mount is open to visitors on the day of your visit, then you will also be taken to see the Dome of the Rock. When you are finished at these sites, you will make your way to the Via Dolorosa. This is believed to be the path Jesus followed on his way to be crucified.

Following this path brings you to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Christians believe that this church marks the spot where Jesus was crucified and later buried. After this part of your tour, you will a break for some lunch and then you will drive to Bethlehem, the birth place of Jesus.

When you reach Bethlehem, you will first visit the Church of the Nativity. This is the world’s oldest church that has never been destroyed or partly destroyed at some point in history. After you are finished at the church, you will then visit the Grotto of the Manger and then you will be driven back to your hotel in Jerusalem.

DAY 14 – Dead Sea and Masada Tour

After breakfast today, you will drive to a cosmetics store near the Dead Sea shore. This store specializes in cosmetic products that are made from Dead Sea mud and Dead Sea mud extracts. After visiting the store, your driver will follow the shoreline until you reach Masada. At Masada you will get a cable car up to the summit of the mountain to see the ruins of an ancient fortress.

When you are finished at the fortress, you will take the cable car down again, and then you will have some time for relaxing and for floating on the Dead Sea. Once evening approaches, you will then be driven back to your hotel for your last night in Jerusalem.

DAY 15 – Egypt, Jordan, Israel Tours Package Ends / Final Departure

At the appropriate time, you will check out from your hotel and then you will be driven to Ben Gurion Airport in time for your flight out of Israel.
