DAY 1 – Luxury Nile Cruise Holidays Begin with Arrival in Cairo

When you land in Cairo your tour manager meets you and will issue you with your Egypt entry visa which is included in our luxury Nile cruise holidays. Once you get through immigration you are then driven to your hotel in one of our deluxe air-conditioned vehicles.

Your tour manager will assist with check-in and then review your travel itinerary with you. They will also confirm pick-up times for your upcoming tours and then leave you to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

DAY 2 – Private Sightseeing Tour in Cairo

After breakfast your guide and driver fetch you from your hotel. You then make your way to Giza to see the Great Giza Pyramids of Cheops, Chefren and Mykerinus. While at the site, you also visit the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. When your tour at the pyramids is over you will be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant.

After lunch, you head to the world famous Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, home to more than 120,000 artifacts. Your next stop after the museum will be at the city’s famous and much loved Khan el Khalili Bazaar

Khan el Khalili is one of the oldest and biggest bazaars in the Middle East. Spend some time exploring its many meandering lanes and alleyways and then once you are ready you will be dropped off back at your hotel.

DAY 3 – Transfer to Luxor by Air for Nile Cruise Embarkation

Today your tour manager and your driver will fetch your from your hotel and they take you to the airport to board your flight to Luxor. When you land in Luxor, you are met at the airport and then you are taken to board your 5-Star cruise to Aswan.

Enjoy lunch shortly after boarding and then you will have some free time for yourself. Later in the day, you visit the magnificent Luxor Temple and the sprawling ruin of Karnak. This, along with all tours during your cruise, is a small group tour that you share with some of our other clients.

Once you get back to your Nile cruise you will have the rest of the day to yourself. This night of our luxury Nile cruise holidays is spent on the river at Luxor.

DAY 4 – Luxor West Bank Sightseeing and Sail to Edfu

Breakfast on the Nile, and then your guide takes you and your group to see three more ancient sites. You first visit Valley of the Kings, and ancient royal burial ground with more than 60 tombs. During your visit you will be able to enter some tombs, but special tickets are needed for some of the tombs. Two examples would be the tomb of Ramses VI and the tomb of King Tutankhamen.

Next, you visit the breathtaking mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. The huge terraced complex is one of the grandest temples ever built by the ancient Egyptians. You last stop will be at the massive Colossi of Memnon which you visit on your way back to your Nile cruise.

When all passengers are back on board the boat, it will then start sailing to Edfu. There are no other tours today, so you will have the entire afternoon for leisure and relaxation. This night of our luxury Nile cruise holidays is spent on the tranquil waters of the Nile at Edfu.

DAY 5 – Horus and Kom Ombo Temples and Cruise to Aswan

After breakfast on the Nile, your guide takes you to see Egypt’s best preserve ancient temple, the Temple of Horus. It’s remarkable preservation is due to it having been buried under the desert sand for more than 2,000 years.

When you are finished at the temple you return to your Nile cruise which will then sail to Kom Ombo. On arrival, your guide takes you to see another ancient temple, the Kom Ombo twin-temple complex. This was dedicated to two gods, Sobek the crocodile god and Horus the falcon-headed god.

Return to the cruise after your tour and enjoy a leisurely lunch and an afternoon of relaxation while sailing to Aswan. This night of your luxury Egypt and the Nile tour is spent on the river at Aswan.

DAY 6 – Aswan Sightseeing and Free Time on your Cruise

Breakfast on the Nile and then your guide accompanies you to three top Aswan tourist attractions: the Aswan High Dam, the giant Unfinished Obelisk, and the ancient Temple of Philae. Philae Temple was dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hather. The entire temple complex was moved to its current location on higher ground in order to save it from the flooding of Lake Nasser.

After your tour, you return to your Nile cruise and you then have the rest of the day for yourself. This night of our 8-day luxury Nile cruise holidays is spent on the River at Aswan.

DAY 7 – Fly Back to Cairo from Aswan

Breakfast on the Nile and then you check-out and you disembark from your cruise. One of our tour representatives and a driver will then take you to Aswan Airport to board your flight back to Cairo. Your tour manager meets you at the airport in Cairo, and then you will be driven to your hotel for your last night in Egypt.

DAY 8 – Our Luxury Nile Cruise Holidays End and Final Departure

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, and then at the confirmed time you tour manager and driver will arrive and transfer you to the airport in time for your flight back home.
