8-Day Pyramids And Nile Cruise Holiday

DAY 1 – Arrive in Cairo for your Pyramids and Nile Cruise Holiday

When you land in Cairo, your tour manager meets you at the airport and then escorts you to your hotel in one of our deluxe air-conditioned vehicles. When you get to your hotel, he or she assists you with check-in and reviews your itinerary with you. Pick up times for your tours will be confirmed, and then you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 2 – Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum and Khan el Khalili

Your guide and driver fetch you at the confirmed time and then you head to the famous Giza Pyramid. Once you have visited each of the three pyramids, you take a slow stroll over to the Sphinx. You can also ride there on a camel if you want, but this is optional and not included in the price of our Pyramids and Nile Cruise Holidays.

After your tour at the pyramids, you then head to a good local restaurant for some lunch. When you are finished eating, your guide and driver take you to the Egyptian Museum. There are more than 120,000 artifacts on display at this famous museum.

When you are finished at the museum, you then visit the vibrant centuries-old Khan el Khalili Bazaar. This is your last stop for the day, so once you are ready you will be driven back to your hotel.

DAY 3 – Flight to Luxor, Cruise Embarkation and East Bank Tour

After breakfast your check-out from your hotel and then we drive you to the airport for your flight to Luxor. One of our tour representatives and a driver will be waiting for you when you land, and then you are taken to board your 5-Star Nile River cruise.

Enjoy your first on-board lunch, and then later in the day one of our expert guides will accompany you to two ancient sites: Luxor Temple and the vast Karnak Temple complex. All tours during your cruise are small group tours that you share with some of our other clients.

After your tour, you head back to the ship, and you then have the rest of the day for yourself. This night of our pyramids and Nile cruise holidays is spent on the river at Luxor.

DAY 4 – West Bank Tour and Cruise to Edfu

After breakfast today, your guide will accompany you and your small group to three more ancient site, this time on the West Bank. First you visit the Valley of Kings which is home to more than 60 ancient royal tombs. You will also get to see inside some of the tombs. However, if you want to go inside Tutankhamun’s tomb or the tomb of Ramses VI, you will need to purchase special tickets at the site.

Next, you visit the breathtaking mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. You will also visit the Colossi of Memnon while making your way back to your Nile cruise.

Once everyone is back on board, you will then enjoy a leisurely cruise to Edfu. There are no other excursions so you will have the entire afternoon for relaxing or enjoying the boat’s many excellent amenities. This night of your pyramids and Nile cruise holiday will be spent on the water at Edfu.

DAY 5 – Edfu, Kom Ombo and Cruise to Aswan

After breakfast, you and your group will be taken to see Horus Temple. This is Egypt’s best-preserved ancient cult temple. Your visit to this breathtaking temple is made even more special because you will get to the site by way of a horse-drawn carriage.

After your tour, you return to your Nile cruise, and then you have some free time while sailing to Kom Ombo. On arrival, enjoy a slow stroll through the town until you reach the fascinating Kom Ombo twin-temple complex. This ancient complex was once devoted to two different gods.

Head back to your cruise after your tour, and enjoy lunch and leisure time while you are sailing to Aswan. Enjoy this night of your pyramids and Nile cruise holiday on the river at Aswan

DAY 6 – Aswan Departure, Edfu Temple, and Overnight at Esna

Enjoy a short cruise and breakfast on the Nile, and then your guide accompanies you to three popular Aswan attractions. Visit the Aswan High Dam, then visit the gigantic Unfinished Obelisk, and then you visit the splendid ancient Temple of Philae. This temple was devoted to two different goddesses, Isis and Hathor.

There are no other tours today, so once you get back to your cruise you will have the rest of the day for yourself. This night of your Nile cruise and pyramids vacation is spent out on the river at Aswan.

DAY 7 – Fly Back to Cairo [Optional Abu Simbel Tour]

Today you check-out from your cruise and then we drive you to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Your tour manager will meet you when you arrive and then once again escort you to the hotel where you will be staying.

We also offer an optional tour from Aswan to the magnificent rock-cut Abu Simbel Temple. These are group tours by coach and they cost $89 USD per person.

DAY 8 – Final Departure

This is the last day of our pyramids and Nile cruise holidays, so at the confirmed time, your tour manager and driver will fetch you from your hotel and take you to the airport in time for your flight back home. Board your flight with lifelong memories guaranteed.
