He or she will get you checked in and then review your travel itinerary with you, and also confirm pick up times for your upcoming tours. After this, you are left on your own to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

DAY 2 – Giza Necropolis and Cairo Tour

Your private guide and private driver meet you at your hotel at the confirmed time, and then you make you head to the ancient Giza necropolis to see the world famous Giza Pyramids that were constructed for the pharaohs Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaura. You will also get to see the iconic Sphinx and the Valley Temple.

As with most Egypt tour packages, our Egypt budget tour packages don’t include admission tickets for any of the pyramids. However, if you want to go inside any of the pyramids, you can purchase the necessary tickets at the site, or you can request that we include this when you book your budget tour to Egypt.

After your visit to the pyramids, you are taken to a good local restaurant for lunch. This is included in your tour. Once you have finished eating, you then head to the famous Egyptian Museum, home to more than 100,000 ancient artifacts.

Following your visit to the museum, your guide and driver then take you to Cairo’s notorious and much loved Khan el Khalili Bazaar. Open since the late 14th century, Khan el Khalili is the oldest bazaar in all of the Middle East.

Enjoy some time at the bazaar, and then you will be driven to Giza Railway Station where you will board an overnight sleeper train to Aswan. Enjoy dinner in your compartment and a good night’s sleep while traveling to Aswan.

Meals Include – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

DAY 3 – Nile Cruise Embarkation and Aswan Tour

Enjoy breakfast on the train before arriving in Aswan. When you arrive, you are again met by one of our tour representatives and a driver who will then take you to board your 5-star Nile cruise. Shortly after boarding, enjoy a good lunch, and then you and a small group of our other clients will head ashore with one of our expert guides to see three historical attractions.

First you will visit the famous Aswan High Dam, and from there you will head to the ancient granite quarries to see the gigantic Unfinished Obelisk. Finally, you will be taken to see the breathtaking ancient Temple of Philae that was dedicated to two goddesses, Isis and Hathor.

Following your visit to the temple, you will head back to your cruise ship and you will have the rest of the day to yourself.  This night of your budget tour to Egypt is spent aboard the ship in Aswan.

Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

DAY 4 – Kom Ombo Temple and Overnight at Edfu

Enjoy breakfast on the Nile and a leisurely cruise to Kom Ombo. On arrival at Kom Ombo, your guide will accompany you and your group to the ancient Kom Ombo Temple. This is one of the most unique ancient temples in Egypt because it is essentially two temples in one. One was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god and the other to Horus the falcon-headed god.

Enjoy lunch back on board the ship, and a leisurely cruise to Edfu. This night of your Egypt budget tour is spent on the water at Edfu.

Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

DAY 5 – Edfu Temple and Cruise to Luxor with Belly Dance Show

Breakfast is served aboard your cruise, and then your guide takes you and your group to see Edfu Temple. Also known as the Temple of Horus, this is Egypt’s most well-preserved ancient temple. After the Egyptians were driven out, the temple was occupied by the Romans who later deserted it. As time passed, the entire temple became buried beneath the desert sand, and this is the reason for its remarkable preservation.

After your visit to the temple, you return to your cruise for lunch and then you sail to Luxor. Tonight there will be an authentic Belly Dance show aboard the ship shortly after dinner. This night of your budget tour to Egypt is spent on the Nile River at Luxor

Meals Included – Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

DAY 6 – Luxor East & West Bank Tours and Overnight Train to Cairo

After breakfast, you check-out from your cruise and you disembark. Your guide then takes you to see two ancient sites on the east bank of the Nile: Luxor Temple and the vast Karnak Temple complex.

Following your visit to the East Bank, you then head to the West Bank to see three more ancient sites. First you visit the Valley of Kings, a huge royal necropolis which is home to 62 ancient tombs, including the tomb of King Tutankhamun.

After Valley of the Kings, you visit the nearby mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. This huge terraced temple was one of the grandest temples ever built by the ancient Egyptians. Today it is considered to be one of the Incomparable Ancient Monument of Egypt.

When you are finished at the temple you then visit the towering Colossi of Memnon, and from there you will be taken to Luxor Train Station to board a train back to Cairo. Dinner will be served in your compartment and you will spend this night of your budget tour to Egypt aboard the train.

Meals Included – Breakfast & Dinner

DAY 7 – Optional Tours in Cairo

When you arrive in Cairo, you are met at the station and then you are driven to the hotel where you will be staying for your last night in Egypt. Our 8-day budget tours don’t include any scheduled sightseeing tours today, which is your last full day in the country. Instead we have left this day open for you to enjoy as you wish.  We do, however, offer an optional tour to see the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, and the Memphis open-air museum.
