Cairo Pyramids Tour
On the day of your Cairo pyramids tour, one of our expert guides and one of our drivers will fetch you from your hotel in one of our deluxe air-conditioned vehicles. You will then head south, from Cairo to Dashur which is about 40 kilometers away.
When you reach Dashur you will visit the ancient Dashur necropolis to see the famous Red Pyramid and the Bent Pyramid. Both of these pyramids are older than the famous Giza Pyramids near Cairo. They also demonstrate how the Ancient Egyptians were continuously improving their pyramid building skills, and moving from a stepped design to a smooth-sided design.
When you are finished at the Dashur Pyramids, you will then drive to Saqqara to see the famous Step Pyramid of Pharaoh Djoser. This was the first pyramid ever constructed by the Ancient Egyptians. It is also the world’s oldest major stone structure.
After your tour at Saqqara, you are taken to a good local restaurant for lunch, after which you will visit the notorious Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx on the outskirts of Cairo. Your guide will give you a comprehensive tour of the site, and then once your tour is over, you are driven back to your hotel. The total duration of our Cairo Pyramids Tour is approximately 8 hours.
