When you land in Cairo for your Egypt and Jordan Luxury Tours you will be met by a company representative and a driver. After clearing immigration, you will then be transferred to your hotel in one of our deluxe air-conditioned vehicles. You will be assisted with check-in and our tour representative will confirm a pick-up time for the next day’s tours. Enjoy a free Welcome Drink, and spend the first night of your vacation in Cairo.

DAY 2 – Giza and Saqqara Pyramids Tour

At the confirmed time, your assigned expert guide and one of our drivers will meet you at your hotel. Your tour will begin with a visit to the Giza necropolis. Most of the morning will be spent here so you will have plenty of time to admire and explore the famous pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple.

You will also have the opportunity to visit the Solar Boat Museum at the necropolis. Our 15-day Egypt and Jordan Luxury Tours don’t include tickets for the museum, but tickets are available at the site. Once you are finished exploring the necropolis, you will have a break for some lunch. Today’s lunch will be at a good local restaurant and it’s included in your tour.

After lunch, you will be transferred to Saqqara to visit the ancient Saqqara necropolis. The main attraction here is the Djoser Pyramid. This is the first pyramid ever built by the Ancient Egyptians. After you have finished at the necropolis, your guide and driver will then transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo.

Meals Included – Breakfast and Lunch

DAY 3 – Cairo Tour and Transfer to Aswan

Your guide and driver will arrive at your hotel at the confirmed time. You will be flying to Aswan in the evening, so you will check-out from your hotel before your tour begins. After checking out, you will be taken to see the Egyptian Museum. The museum houses thousands of ancient artifacts, so you will spend most of the morning here.

Once you are finished at the museum you will again be taken for lunch at a good local restaurant. After you have finished your lunch, the next phase of your tour will begin. During this part of your tour, you will visit the Hanging Church of Cairo, the Ben Ezra Synagogue and the Khan El Khalili Bazaar. No trip to Cairo is complete without a visit to the colorful and charismatic bazaar.

After spending some time at the bazaar, you will then be transferred to the airport. You will board a short flight to Aswan where one of our representatives and a driver will be waiting to meet you. They will then transfer you to your hotel in Aswan where you will be spending the night.

Meals Included – Breakfast and Lunch

DAY 4 – Optional Abu Simbel Tour or Free Day in Aswan

Today you have two options. You can either have the day to yourself, or else you can enjoy a trip to the Abu Simbel temples. Visiting the temples is optional and is not included in the price of our Egypt and Jordan Luxury Tours. It is about a 4-hour journey each way, and this is why we offer it as an optional tour.

If the traveling is not a problem for you, we highly recommend taking this tour. The massive rock-cut temples at Abu Simbel were built by King Ramses II. They are simply breathtaking and are the second-most visited ancient site in Egypt.

Whether you visit the temples, or whether you decide to spend the day in Aswan, you will once again spend the night at your hotel in Aswan.

Meals Included – Breakfast

DAY 5 – Nile Cruise Embarkation and Guided Tour in Aswan

After breakfast today, you will have some free time for yourself before checking out from your hotel for your transfer to the cruise ship. Embarkation will be at about 11h00. You will then have a bit of time to settle in before lunch is served in the ship’s dining hall.

Shortly after lunch, our expert tour guide will take you and a small group of our other clients for a tour to see three different attractions. After spending some time at the temple you will head to the ancient stone quarries to view the famous Unfinished Obelisk.

Once your Aswan tour is over, you will make your way back to the ship and you will have some free time for yourself before dinner is served. Tonight you will be sleeping aboard the ship is Aswan.

After your tour, you will return to the ship and it will start sailing to Edfu.

Lunch will be served while you are sailing. When you reach Edfu, your guide will then take you to see the Temple of Horus. This is Egypt’s best preserved ancient cult temple. This will be the last excursion for the day, so once you get back to the ship, you will have the rest of the day to yourself. When everyone is back on board the ship it will sail to Esna where it will dock until the following morning.

DAY 7 – Luxor Sightseeing Tours

Today, you can once again enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the water while your ship sails to Luxor. Shortly after you get there, your guide will take you to see 3 of the most famous monuments on Luxor’s West Bank. You will first visit a vast ancient necropolis known as Valley of the Kings. Many famous pharaohs were entombed here, including King Tutankhamen.

Entrance to some of the tombs is included in the price of our Egypt and Jordan Luxury Tours. For some of the other tombs, including King Tut’s tomb, additional tickets must be purchased at the site. After your tour of the necropolis, you will be taken to see the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. As with the Abu Simbel temples, this huge rock-cut complex is one of the county’s most impressive and most visited attractions.

You will also be taken to see the iconic Colossi of Memnon while you are returning to your cruise for lunch. Later in the afternoon, you will be taken for another tour, this time on Luxor’s East Bank. During this tour, you will visit both Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple before returning to the ship.

The most prominent and most striking features at this site include: The Roman colonnaded street; the Oval Plaza; the Temple of Artemis; the Nymphaeum; the fountains, and the city walls.

After your tour, you will be taken for lunch, and then you will visit Ajloun Castle. This magnificent fortress was built by one of Salah Al-Din Usama’s generals in 1184 AD. There is no real need for a guide here so you will be able explore fortress by yourself and at your own pace. When you are finished, your driver will then escort you back to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 13 – Madaba, Mount Nebo and Dead Sea Experience

After breakfast you will check-out from your hotel and then your driver will drive to Madaba to see the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George. While the church itself is exquisite, the main highlight here is a 4th-century Byzantine mosaic map of Israel.

Once you are finished at the church, your driver will take you to Mount Nebo. This is where God is believed to have shown Moses the Promised Land. You will be able to enjoy the same view that Moses saw, and then you will visit an old monastery. It is a wonderful place to visit and the views from the balcony are spectacular. From your position looking over the Jordan Valley, you will be able to see the Dead Sea and also parts of the Holy Land.

When you are finished at the monastery, your driver will then drive you to the Dead Sea. You will have a few hours here to enjoy yourself. We highly recommend that you go floating on the water. It is truly an unforgettable experience.

There are usually also opportunities to have a beauty treatment with mud from the Dead Sea. However, the cost of any such treatment is not included in the price of our Egypt and Jordan Luxury Tours.

After breakfast you will need to check-out from your hotel and then your driver will transfer you to the Rose City of Petra. This is Jordan’s premier tourist attraction. The site is also often called the Lost City of Petra. It was originally established at some point around the 6th-century BC by the Nabateans. The Nabateans carved the entire city out of the sides of a long and deep rock gorge. It is truly one of the most breathtaking ancient monuments on Earth.

When you arrive at the site, a specialist guide will meet you at the visitor center. Vehicles are not permitted beyond the visitor center so you will cover the distance to the canyon entrance on horseback.

It would be impossible to explore the entire city in a single visit, so you guide to take you to see the most striking features of the city. These will include the Street of Facades; the Royal Tombs; the Pharaoh’s Castle, and the Treasury. The Treasury is the most prominent feature at the site, and it is a sight you will never forget.
Your tour will take two to three hours. When you get back to the visitor center your driver will transfer you to Amman and you will be checked-in at the hotel where you will be staying for the night.
