Your tour manager and one of our drivers will collect you from your hotel at the confirmed time and then you will drive to the ancient Giza necropolis on the outskirts of Cairo to see, in person, the true glory of the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx.

The largest of the three pyramids was built for Pharaoh Khufu. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the only one still standing and mostly still intact. The other giant pyramid was built for Pharaoh Khafre, as was the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. The pharaoh’s body would have been purified and mummified in the Valley Temple before being moved to the burial chamber inside his pyramid.

The smallest of the three pyramids was built for Pharaoh Menkaura. Despite its most size, it still never fails to impress visitors.

All three pyramids are usually open to visitors, meaning that you can actually go inside them when you are at the site. However, our Giza Pyramids half day tour only includes admission to the main site. This gives you access to the pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple.

To go inside the pyramids, visitors are required to purchase the necessary tickets at the site’s entrance. At the time of writing, an entry ticket for the Great Pyramid cost roughly US$11, while tickets for the other two pyramids cost roughly US$3.

After your tour, you will be driven back to your hotel in air-conditioned comfort. The overall length of our Giza Pyramids half day tour is about 4 hours.
