Itinerary

DAY 1 – Middle East Tours Package Begins / Arrive in Casablanca

When you land at the airport in Casablanca, one of our tour representatives will meet you and you will drive to Rabat. When you get to Rabat, our tour representative will get you checked-in at your hotel. He will also confirm a pick-up time with you for the following day.

There are no tours scheduled for the first day of your luxury Middle East Tours package. Once you have checked-in at the hotel, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 2 – Rabat, Meknes, Volubilis and Overnight in Fez

After breakfast, you will check-out from the hotel, and you will be taken to see Chellah and Kasbah Ouddaya. From here, you will head to the old medina, and you will have some time for strolling around in the souks and bazaars. When you are finished at the medina, you will visit a charming café on the banks of the Bouregrag River for a traditional Moroccan tea break.

After you tea break, you will to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will meet up with a specialist who will give you a guided tour of the site. Following your tour, you will drive to the imperial city of Meknes. A local guide will meet you here and he will give you a tour of the city’s most prominent attractions.

After your tour at Meknes, you will drive to Fez. When you get there, our tour representative/driver will take you to your hotel and assist you with check-in. He will once again also confirm a pick-up time for the following day’s tour.

DAY 3 – Fez Half-Day Tour

After breakfast today, you will be taken to see some of the most popular Fez tourist attractions. Your tour begins with a visit to the old Fez Medina. This medina has been around since the 9th century. It is today a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it is home to the oldest university in the world.

When you are finished at the medina, you will then visit Bou-Inania and Attarin Medersa; the tanners; Ess-Seffarine Square; the Moulay Driss Tomb; El-Nejjarine Square, and the cabinet makers’ souk. From here, you will make your way through the Hebrew Quarter (Mellah). After seeing the Jewish Quarter, you will then attend a pottery workshop with a potter master.

When your pottery class ends, you will be taken for lunch at a nice local restaurant. After lunch, you can either return to your hotel, or we can leave you to do some exploring on your own.

DAY 4 – Fez to Beni Mellal with Overnight in Marrakech

After breakfast today, you will check-out from your hotel, and then you will start traveling towards Marrakech. Along the way, you will pass through Beni Mellal, one of most well-known agricultural centers. After a short break at Beni Mellal, you will continue driving to Marrakech.

When you reach Marrakech, our tour representative will take you directly to your hotel. There are no other tours on this day of your Middle East Tours package.

DAY 5 – Marrakech Half-Day Tour

Today you will be taken for a half-day tour in Marrakech. Your tour will begin with a visit to the city’s two most famous gardens: Majorelle Garden and Menara Garden. When you are finished at Menara Garden, you will visit the Koutobia mosque and from there you will make your way through the old Jewish Quarter.

At around noontime, you will be taken to a nice local restaurant for lunch. After you have eaten, enjoy a short Koutchi ride to Jamaa El Fnaa. A Koutchi is a traditional Moroccan horse-drawn carriage. When you get to Jamaa El Fnaa you can either return to your hotel or you can stay at the square to do some exploring on your own.

DAY 6 – Free Day in Marrakech

There are no tours scheduled for this day of your Middle East Tour. Instead, you will have the day free to explore Marrakech as you wish. We highly recommend visiting Jamaa El Fnaa in the morning, in the afternoon, and again in the evening because it changes quite dramatically throughout the day.

DAY 7 – Marrakech to Casablanca

After breakfast today, our tour representative will once again meet you at your hotel. You will then check-out and you will drive to Casablanca. When you arrive, you will visit the beautiful Hassan II Mosque. After visiting the mosque, you will be taken to see the city’s cornice. You will also visit the Habous quarters and the Royal Palace.

The palace is not open to the public, so you will only be able to take photos of the outside. After your short tour in Casablanca, you will be taken to your hotel for your last night in Morocco

DAY 8 – Fly to Cairo

At the appropriate time, our tour representative will fetch you from your hotel and he will drive you to the airport for your flight to Egypt. Your tour manager and one of our drivers will be waiting for you at the airport in Cairo. Once you get through immigration, they will transfer you to your hotel in Cairo.

Your tour manager will get you checked-in and he will confirm a time with you for the following day’s tour. There are no tours on this day of your luxury Middle East Tour.

DAY 9 – Pyramids, Museum and Khan el Khalili Tour

After breakfast, you will be picked from your hotel. You will then be taken to see Egypt’s most famous attraction, the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. After your tour at the pyramids, you will be taken for lunch at a nice local restaurant and then you will visit the Egyptian Museum.

Our Middle East Tours package includes access to all of the museum’s public areas. This includes access to the Treasures Room where you can view all the artifacts from King Tutankhamen’s tomb. The only exception is the Mummies Room. If you would like to see the mummies, a separate ticket is required. You can purchase a ticket at the museum, or you can ask us to include it in your tour when you make your reservation.

When you are finished at the museum, you will visit the city’s famous Khan El Khalili Bazaar. This is one of the biggest and oldest bazaars in the whole of the Middle East. It has been open since ever since the 14th century. Enjoy some time at the bazaar, and then you will be driven back to your hotel.

DAY 10 – Nile Cruise Boarding and Luxor Tour

Today you will check-out from your Cairo hotel after breakfast. You will then be transferred to the airport and you will board a flight to Luxor. Another one of our tour representatives will meet you at Luxor Airport when you arrive, and then you will be taken to board a 5-Star Nile River cruise.

In the afternoon, you will join a small group of our other clients , and our expert tour guide will take you to see Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. After your visit to the temples, you will return to the cruise ship and you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 11 – Luxor Tour and Overnight at Edfu

After breakfast on the ship, our guide will take you and your small group to see the Valley of King, Queen Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. Valley of the Kings is a huge ancient royal cemetery with 62 tombs, including King Tutankhamen’s tomb. Hatshepsut Temple is a magnificent rock-cut complex and one of the most visited attractions in Egypt.

After your tour, you will return to the cruise ship and it will sail to Edfu where it will dock for the night. There are no other tours today. Once you leave Luxor, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 12 – Temple of Horus, Temple of Kom Ombo and Overnight at Aswan

After breakfast today, our guide will escort you and your group to the Temple of Horus which is also known as Edfu Temple. After your tour, you will return to the cruise ship and when everyone is back on board it will sail to Kom Ombo. At Kom Ombo you will be taken to see the remains of another ancient temple.

The Temple of Kom Ombo was dedicated to two gods: Horus and Sobek. When all passengers are back on the cruise ship, it will then sail to Aswan. There are no other excursions on this day of your Middle East Tours itinerary. Once you depart from Kom Ombo, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 13 – Aswan Morning Tour

At around mid-morning today, our guide will take you and you group for another onshore excursion. During this tour, you will visit the Aswan High Dam, the Temple Philae, and the massive Unfinished Obelisk. The ancient Temple of Philae was dedicated to two goddesses: Isis and Hathor.

One of the amazing things about this temple is the fact that the entire temple was moved to its current location. It was originally located on a small island that is now submerged beneath the surface of Lake Nasser. The temple is one of several monuments that were rescued when the High Dam was being built.

When your tour is over, you will return to the cruise ship and you will have the rest of the day to yourself. Your cruise ship will once again spend the night at Aswan.

DAY 14 – Transfer to Cairo by Air

After breakfast, you will check-out and disembark from your cruise. Our tour representative will then drive you to the airport and you will board a flight back to Cairo. Your tour manager and driver meets you at the airport in Cairo, and takes you to your hotel for your last night in Egypt.

DAY 15 – Fly to Amman in Jordan

At the appropriate time, your tour manager will arrive at your hotel. He or she will get you checked-out and then you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Amman in Jordan. When you arrive at the airport in Jordan, another one of our tour representatives will meet you. He will transfer you to your hotel and he will get you checked-in. He will also confirm a pick-up time for the next day’s tour.

There are no tours on this day of your luxurious Middle East Tours package. Once you have been checked-in at the hotel, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 16 – Madaba, Mount Nebo and Dead Sea Visit

Today you will enjoy a full day out. First, you will drive to Madaba. You will visit the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George to see a stone mosaic map of the Promised Land. More than two million colored stones were used to create the map which dates back to the 4th century BC.

From Madaba, you will drive to Mount Nebo. You will be able to enjoy striking views of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and the Promised Land. It was from here that Moses was first shown the Promised Land. You will also visit an old monastery, and then you will drive to the Dead Sea coast

You will have a few hours for relaxing and for floating on the Dead Sea. In the late afternoon, or whenever you are ready, your driver will drive you back to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 17 – Jerash, Ajloun Caste and Umm Qais Tour

After breakfast, your driver meets you at your hotel and then he drives you to Jerash. When you get there, you will meet up with a specialist local guide. Your guide will then give you a guided tour of the ruins of an ancient Roman city.

Jerash is the world’s finest example of ancient Roman architecture outside of Italy. After your tour, you will continue driving and you will visit Ajloun Castle. You will have some time to explore this imposing 12th-century fortress, and then you will drive to Umm Quais. In the Bible, Umm Qais is referred to as Gadara. When you are finished here, your driver will drive back to Amman and drop you off at your hotel.

DAY 18 – Guided Lost City of Petra Tour

Get ready for one of the biggest highlights of your Middle East Tours package. Today you will be visiting an ancient city that was carved out of the walls of a deep rock gorge/canyon. The Lost City of Petra was founded by a tribe of nomadic Nabatean Arabs during the 6th century BC. It is Jordan’s most famous and most cherished tourist attraction.

The drive from Amman to Petra takes about 2.5 hours. When you get there, you will stop at the visitor center and you will meet up with a specialist English-speaking guide. Your guide will then give you a good tour of the site. Your tour will last between 2 to 3 hours. It will include the site’s most fascinating features, including the Royal Tombs; the Street of Facades; the Pharaoh’s Castle, and the breathtaking Treasury. Your tour also includes a short horse ride at the site.

When your tour is over, you will have to opportunity to have some lunch, and then your driver will drive back to Amman and drop you off at your hotel. Please note that your tour at Petra involves quite a lot of walking. The Siq (canyon entrance) is about 700 meters from the visitor center. The canyon itself is a further 1,200 meters.

DAY 19 – Fly to Dubai

At the appropriate time, our tour representative will meet you at your hotel. He will get you checked-out and then drive you to the airport for your flight to Dubai. Another one of our tour representatives will meet you at the airport in Dubai and then transfer you to your hotel. He will get you checked-in and he’ll also confirm a time for the next day’s tour.

There are no scheduled tours on this day of your Middle East Tour. Once you have checked in at your hotel, you will have the rest of the day to yourself.

DAY 20 – Dubai City Tour

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and you visit the opulent Dubai Marina. From the marina, you will then cross over to Palm Jumeirah, the world’s largest manmade island. Enjoy a panoramic drive around the island and a photo stop in front of the magnificent Atlantis Hotel.

After you tour of the island, you will then be taken to board a traditional abra boat for a scenic ride across Dubai Creek. When you get to the other side, you will be taken to see Dubai’s famous Gold and Spice Souk. Enjoy some time exploring the souk, and then you will be taken for a visit to the splendid Jumeirah Mosque. After the mosque, there will be another photo stop in front of the now famous Burj Al Arab.

After your tour, you will be dropped off back at your hotel. In the early evening, you will be picked up again and you will be taken to Dubai Marina for a dinner cruise. When your cruise ends, your driver will meet you and then drive you back to your hotel again.

DAY 21 – Abu Dhabi Tour

After breakfast today, you will travel to Abu Dhabi. When you get there, you will first visit the breathtaking Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. This is the world’s 4th-largest mosque. Up to 40,000 people can fit inside the complex.

After visiting the mosque, you visit Union Square, and then you will drive to the Corniche. On your way there you will pass the beautiful Emirates Palace. It is not open to visitors but you will be able to take some photos of the exterior. After the Corniche, you will visit Heritage Village and then the recently opened Louver Museum. Once you are finished at the museum, your driver will drive back to Dubai and you will be dropped off at your hotel.

DAY 22 – Sundowner Desert Safari with BBQ Dinner

You will have this morning to yourself. At about 15h30, you will be picked up from your hotel. A modern air-conditioned 4×4 will then take you into the desert. Your drive into the desert will see you driving up and down numerous sand dunes. Eventually you will stop on the highest one to admire the view and to take some amazing photos just as the sun is beginning to set. You will also be able to try some sand boarding if you want to.

After your stop on the dune, your driver will take you to a Bedouin desert camp where you will be able to enjoy some refreshments. You will also have an opportunity to enjoy a short camel ride in the desert while a delicious BBQ is being prepared. Dinner will be served just as the stars start to appear in the night sky.

There will also be some live entertainment. A Tanoura dancer will be performing dance routines to authentic Arabian music. Later in the evening, your driver will then drive you back to your hotel for your last night in Dubai.

DAY 23 – Middle East Tours Package Ends / Final Departure

At the appropriate time, our tour representative will meet you at your hotel. He will get you checked out, and then he will drive you to the airport for your flight out of Dubai.
